Leaving Booker Lagoon, we had to time the departure with the tidal change reducing the turbulence at the entry point. It was squirrelly with 2 knots of current with us. When we made it out into Fife Sound, we were surprised by the steep waves caused by the ebbing current running into Queen Charlotte Strait. As we were crossing, a surprise wave had our number, and came into the cockpit with a spanking splash. Past this area, we were in calm waters through a myriad of small islets. Green Island had birds and seals to watch: Harlequin Ducks, Bald Eagles, Pelagic Cormorants, Guillemots, Glaucaous-winged gulls, and one Surf Scoter. At one anchorage we caught keeper dungeness and red rock crabs for dinner. We finally moved to Health Bay for the night. All is well! Laurie won at cards...again.
