A big change in plans has been made :( George's left hip has worsened dramatically, making walking and overall ease of movement very difficult, awkward, and painful. Cape Blanco showed how important ease of movement around the boat was critical for our safety. So we phoned and made an appointment to see the surgeon that replaced George's right hip (which is feeling great). We intend to have the left hip replaced, and then continue on with our Dream Journey.
In the mean time we will leave the boat in Crescent City, fly to Portland, drive to Friday Harbor, stay in our Condo for the summer, have the left hip replaced, and after a quick rehabilitation, head back to 'Julia Max' maybe in time to join the Baja Ha-ha out of San Diego at the end of October. :)
