What a workout today! We were trying to find the right sail plan for winds that were nearly directly down wind. At 6am we were using our full jib only and going 4.7 knots. Not satisfied. Then we set our main sail with the full jib. But the jib was blanketed, and not getting full production. Then we set the spinnaker and main sail with the same results. By this time, we hour-glassed the spinnaker. And with great frustration, pulled it down. Finally, we went back to the full jib only, and with increased winds of 15-20, we were going 6.5-6.7 knots! Great!
