We met Vicente and his 3 year old son Luis, as they came up to us in their power boat showing the Panama Posse burgee. After leading us to the Pemex fuel dock to take on diesel, we arrived at our $10/night mooring ball. We arranged for an agent to handle our entry/exit paperwork with the Port Captain. Afterward we went ashore, scouting out the local Commercial supermarket. Thursday night we go to the Hotel Mirador to have dinner, and see the cliff divers with torches in hand diving off the cliff. The Acapulco Yacht Club is expensive: $156 US per night for our boat. So we like the mooring ball at $10 per night much more. We will leave on Saturday, 12/30 for Huatulco (250 miles), the port that is at the edge of the famed Golf of Tehehuantepec, and its strong winds.
