Anchored in open roadstead, tucked behind a hook at the end of Punta Burica, the southern most tip of Costa Rica. It was too much further to go to a better anchorage before sunset. Wind is light, 5-8 knots and seas are calm. A bit rolly. Depth is 18-20' at low tide. 100' of chain is out over a rocky bottom. We are maybe a 1/2 mile offshore, and it feels like we are anchored in the middle of the ocean. There are a few dwellings ashore, a mile or more apart from each other. This Punta is a narrow mountain ridge with little room for Costa Rica on the west, and Panama on the east. We'll get an early start in the morning, so we can get to a large island that is a National Park.
