As we get ready to fly to Portland for our granddaughter's graduation, we have taken 'Julia Max' out of the water into a boatyard stand. We have finished pressure washing the bottom, cleaning and prepping the hull, and then painting the bottom it's beautiful black color with 3 gallons of Petite Trinidad SR (after taking out a boat loan!) We changed out the zinc anodes. And now we have re-varnished some much needed internal surfaces. As we head back to Portland, the boat will be out of the water, away from electrolysis, hardening its bottom paint job, and waiting for us to return and varnish the exterior before heading North for July 4th.
