The Annapolis Boat Show attracts boaters from all over America. The SailBoat Show is first, followed by the Power Boat Show. Any time you talk with vendors you learn something: refrigeration, heat exchanger servicing, wind generation's latest products, courtesy flags, Maui Jim sunglasses, RayMarine upgrades, SailRite sewing products, charts, cleaning solvents for heads, etc. The last day we spent taking classes, one on the Eastern Caribbean Islands, and then finished off with Heavy Weather Sailing...ugh. I made the decision to replace my Yanmar engine heat exchanger. Rather than trying to clean the existing one, I figure that 4400 hours is a good service period, and with another year of cruising ahead, I wanted top performance without failure. I met a vendor that can help us accomplish the replacement in the next couple weeks. Life is good.
