We took a road trip to Kingston to go to the Mega grocery store, also to stop at a well-stocked marine chandlery, and drop off our stainless radar bracket for repair. But the stops of interest were a coffee plantation in the Blue Mountains, and the Bob Marley Museum in Kingston. Bob Marley's Jamaican home is now the site of his Museum. Touring the home, we had a wonderful guide who brought his life and career to life through his music, his numerous Grammy awards, and his progression of ideas through his brief life. Born in 1945, he died an early death from a type of melanoma cancer in 1981. But during that time he helped develop Reggae music, and had a great following of music fans worldwide. Jamaica loves their Bob Marley!
