Finally in Golfito, Costa Rica
23 April 2019 | Golfito, Costa Rica
We arrived April 23rd in Golfito, the southern port of entry for Costa Rica. 'Julia Max' is moored at Fish Hook Marina, a fine moorage for checking in to the country. We have done the document cha-cha with Migration, Customs, Port Captain, and Quarantine. While we wait for the ship which will transport 'Julia Max' from Golfito to Victoria, BC, Canada, we have been cleaning up and prepping the boat for the transport. In addition we plan on spending time on shore at elevation with Craig and Barbara Johnston from sv Sequoia to beat the tropical heat. We have a few weeks before placing our boat on the Seven Star Transport for its transit north. It feels good to be at this stage of our 2 year trip, and to be close to flying home to Portland, Oregon.
