The Canadian Marine Weather Channel forecasts winds building from gale (SE30-40) this evening to storm (SE 40-50) in the late night. Blunden Harbour is a small bay that is almost totally encircled by land. The sea state inside is virtually calm compared to outside in the Queen Charlotte
Strait. We have out 160' of chain in a depth of anywhere from 20' to 30' depending on the tidal phase. So our chain scope is from 8:1 to 5:1 which should keep our anchor well set for the blow. Outside the NW coast of Vancouver Island they predicted hurricane force winds. That's only
