Circumnavigating Vancouver Island 2024

Back in 2003, we circumnavigated Vancouver Island, capturing wonderful memories. Now in 2024 we hope to re-visit this large island, and create some new memories!

George Stonecliffe | Sunny, Light winds
After 9-1/2 hours motoring and sailing from Nanaimo, we settled in the Denman Island anchorage. Our new windlass had its first trial, and won hands down. Sue served her award winning meat loaf for dinner. And we settled in for an early morning run to Campbell River on Tuesday, May 14th.
In our passage we passed the Denman Island Canadian Coast Guard Station with its telltale white buildings with red roofs.
