While high winds have hampered our movement up Johnstone Strait, tug and barges seem to weather the storm. Somehow commercial traffic has a calming influence, knowing that the professionals are safely handling the conditions. Winds have been NW 20-25 causing heavy seas. We anchored at Blenkinsop Bay, but as the wind shifted, we started to feel the waves come into the Bay. Looking at weather predicters, we felt we should try to leave early (5am/first light). But as we reached the main waters of Johnstone Strait, everything was already built up. We went two miles before turning into Port Neville where we anchored, and slept a few hours in calm waters. But antsy feet, made us get up and leave when the flooding tidal current dropped the seas. Tonight we are at Lagoon Cove Marina :)
