Starting early, we left Port McNeil for points north. But as we transited into Queen Charlotte Strait the expected light winds deteriorated into strong winds against an outflowing ebb current creating a heavy sea state. We pulled into an anchorage behind some islands just short of Port Hardy. It turned out to be a sunny day at anchor for playing Scrabble, planning for tomorrow's continuance to Bull Harbor 25 miles away, and reviewing our attempt on rounding Cape Scott on Saturday. Our faith in the Predict Weather App was jarred this morning, and we hope as we get close to Saturday that their prediction will be accurate.
