I had another great sail on the bay here in January. Dave joined me out there. Winds were a steady 10-12 knots from the north and waves were about 6"; it was so smooth on the water. I got some cool photos and videos while reaching off the leeward side with my camera just inches above the water!
Here is a video as we were sailing 5.5 knots.
We averaged 3.79 knots, sailed a total distance of 13.4 nm over 3.5 hours, and hit a max of 7.43 knots. I'm trying to remember to note this data off my GPS just for fun to see how my sails compare. If it's 50F or warmer, I'm heading out to the bay this winter!
This site is all about my experiences with my first boat; from restoring it, to my sailing adventures. I enjoy hearing from my readers, so feel free to send me an email. I'm also interested in meeting new people in the area, especially people in my age range since I hardly know any that sail.
