We had an awesome first sail of the season today. My friends Seth and Julia joined me for their first time sailing. We met up with Dave and Daren on their boats out on the water. The weather was almost perfect, around 70F, sunny, winds around 10 knots, gusting to mid teens at times, it was great. I put my fresh crew to work, time at the helm, managing the sheets during tacking, and watching sail trim. They were getting the hang of it and doing quite well for their first time.
Julia made some sandwiches for us down in the cabin. She timed it well during a lull in the wind. Shortly later she was getting something down below when the wind piped up. She had fun walking through the cabin while heeling over:
We had a great time out there. My stereo sounds great and is can get plenty loud in the cockpit with the cabin speakers. My new handheld VHF is very convenient. Dave, Daren, and I were all on the same channel and could easily communicate.

My C-25 is really becoming my ideal boat. I have the solar panel, the stereo, new tiller, refinished teak, new canvas covers, along with all the other work I have completed in the past almost 2.5 years. It just gets better and better.
