Friday bunking

03 November 2007 | Whangarei Harbour
Overcast
Paul and I bunked work today and went for a trip up the harbour, we were thinking that we would only get a chance to run the motor, as it was very calm. But at about 1 pm the wind came up and we were off. Flat calm water and skimming along at 5.5 knots, bloody beauty mate. We were sorely tempted to continue on out of the harbour, but we had to turn back for my Theatre commitments.
We are so pleased with Kabuki, she sails well. Perhaps not pointing into the wind as well as our old boat (Cavalier 32), but she is a little quicker and a lot easier to sail.
Back to the real world again, we were home by 4.30 pm, with plenty of time for dinner before I had to go to the theatre.
Cheers for now
