Back to work

22 January 2008 | Whangarei
Well we have weathered the remnants of cyclone Funa without a scratch. The cyclone ventured into the Tasman Sea and faded to a deep low. The Middle of the North Island seemed to weather the worst of it. Up in the North we had about 29 degree's celsius and 100% humidity. It reminded me of living in Darwin Australia.
Sir Edmund Hillary was cremated today, I only got to see the service on the news, but that was enough to see me in tears. He was a truly great Man.
Paul and I replaced some of the sealant between the deck and hull joints on Kabuki. We are hoping it will help some of the leaks we have. We were talking to Melissa and Rob(?) from Odessa (Westsail 32 as well) and they said that it is only a temporary thing, All Westsails leak apparently. Oh well whats a bit of water anyway.
I started back at work on Monday, it was as though I had not been away. The Library Bus still looked alright, they had not mistreated Her while I was away.

Cheer for now am off to hear more about Sir Ed.
