Quiet Time

27 February 2008 | Whangarei
Well last weekend was a bit of a fizzer. We had rain pretty much all weekend. Paul did not get much done on the boat, except empty the dinghy and wipe up the few leaks.
It was my birthday on Saturday and Paul and Xav got me some Wet Weather gear, bright red and very comfortable compared to our old yellow plastic rain wear, and it actually fits me ( not 3 sizes too big). Went to a Paul Newmans 50th ( one of Pauls old sailing cronies) an interesting night, Paul re-lived some old times.
I will be having a go at the VHF course by the coastguard, next week.

anyway, see ya

Paul and I have been sailing around Whangarei and the Bay of Islands for the last 14 years. We have owned a few boats in that time, ranging from a 20ft Trailer Sailer to a 36ft New Zealand built Eric Cox design yacht. [...]
Extra: Thought this would be a good way of keeping family and friends up to speed with our progress on getting Kabuki and ourselves ready for the big adventure.
