It's rainin again

02 March 2008 | Whangarei
Another wet weekend for us in Northland.
Paul managed to get some sealant into the teak cap rail ends before the rain started on Friday. I worked all day Friday, took the Library Bus out to Ruatangata, Purua and Kara/Kokopu. It was a lovely day. Worked on Saturday, took the Library Bus out to Parua Bay and Pataua South and it rained pretty much the whole time. At least the grass is greening up and the Dam is full.

Paul and I managed a quick trip up to Opua on Sunday, stomped around the Marina ogling all the boats, seems like next year will never come. We can't wait to get away on our boat. Paul is reading a book at the moment about an elderly couple who sailed around New Zealand in a 24ft Trailer Sailer. That is a pretty mean feat. I would love to do that one day, but I have been told it is easier to sail to Tonga or Fiji than it is to sail around New Zealand.

Back at work again today, weather is still drizzly, I think we may have seen the last of our hot summer. I will be pleased if we have, I am not overly keen on heat and humidity.

Cheers for now.
