Winter has arrived

24 May 2008 | Whangarainy
Paul and I went down to Auckland last week and picked up our new/second hand SSB Radio. It looks really tidy, so we can't wait to have it installed in Kabuki.
Today we purchased a liferaft off Trademe. It is 1 year old and about half the price of a new one, so we are quite stoked. We are going down to Auckland tommorrow to pick it up.
Xavier is participating in the 40hr Famine this weekend. He is doing it with a bit of a twist, He is spending the weekend outside under newspaper and cardboard, eating rice cooked on a hobo stove. He had to go to work this arvo/evening, so I imagine He will be pretty tired tonight and not looking forward to sleeping outside with newspapers on top of Him. But He is reasonably committed.
Anyway keep a smile on your dial, and some love in your heart.

Cheers Wendy
