Photo's at last

17 June 2008
Rain,wind, winter
Well at last I have managed to get some batteries. I have the memory like a sieve, it kept on slipping my mind.
So here is a photo of my canvas bucket and splicing. I am in the process of developing cockpit bean bags for our boat. I have settled on the design but not on the fabric.
Paul has completed the posts for the new galley cupboard above the fridge, and the bookcase over the hanging locker by the chart table. He has used wood from an old mahogony table that we had. It is looking really good so far.
We also managed to get some "ascenders" for climbing the mast. We will now make up a rope ascending system to climb the mast, as they do in rock climbing/caving. We saw this system on a S&S yacht called Mendana, that was in the Town Basin a few weeks back, the setup intrigued us, so Paul went over and spoke to the Man about it.
We received our first copy of a WestMarine catalog today, what a tome, It will keep Paul amused for hours.
Anyway cheers for now.
