We have at last made up the new cabinets for Kabuki. I say we, but really it was Paul. He has done a really nice job of them, using recycled timber from an old mahogany dining table. We installed them on the boat on Friday, and they look choice. It makes the boat feel a lot cosier, and lived in.
On Sunday after the cold snap went through, we went down to the boat and tried out my new boat bean bags. They worked really well in the cockpit, making seating alot more comfortable. I used the fabric use on sun loungers to make the bean bags. The beans themselves do not absorb water, so we will be able to rinse them and hang them to dry if they get salty. I am really chuffed with how they turned out. I can just see us up in Tonga next year, supping our drink of choice, lazing back on our bean bags in the cockpit of Kabuki. ROLL ON NEXT YEAR.
