the gas box

Well Paul spent a great deal of time on Saturday removing the gas box that was set on the cabin top in front of the companionway. It was stuck on really well, but boy was it a mess. Paul was worried that the screws used to attach it were not sealed properly, and were leaking into the plywood core of the cabin top. They were a little wet on investigation, and Paul has now filled them with epoxy.
We are now wondering if we want to put the teak box back on. It is quite a big unit, and does look a bit of an eyesore. We will have a think about it, and investigate other options.
We put the new cleats on the bow on friday. Every little job seems to take forever to do on a boat, Paul gets quite discouraged with the time spent. Once He gives up work he will be able to spend as much time as He wants. But that is a while away yet.
