Oh misery me

in between weather bombs
Whangarei CBD flooding.

Well we have survived another weather bomb event. It was not as bad as they had forecasted it to be (thank goodness). We had some pretty wicked winds, and there was localised flooding, but not as bad as last years weather bomb. The Hatea River, which is were our boat is moored, flooded its banks. But Kabuki was safe and sound on her piles out of the main channel. The only damage sustained was a ripped zipper on one of our side curtains for the cockpit cover (the stitching had perished). I have sewn that up this afternoon ready for our next weather event which is due on Tuesday evening. Oh Joy!!
