dinghy dilemma

25 August 2008 | Whangarei
Spring is almost here!!
Well I was going through the town basin today and noticed a gentleman with his inflatable dinghy. He seems to spend a lot of time with his dinghy on the dock doing repairs and cleaning. We have been contemplating getting a new dinghy, as the one we have is quite low in the water and weighs quite a bit.
After watching that man I can see why Paul is not keen on getting an inflatable dinghy. They look like a lot of work and a lot of cost. We ideally would like to get a lighter dinghy and one that has a little more freeboard. Fibreglass is heavy, wood is expensive, plastic we are not sure about. What to choose.
So we just keep an eye on trademe, and hope something will come up. If not, we will just rely on our trusty old fibreglass dinghy.
