Trip to Christchurch

14 October 2008 | Whangarei
Well have just returned from a week away in Christchurch with my Son and 3 other teens. They were attending "Beyond the Camera" a course about television production, camera work, presenting, acting, editing, lights, sound, script writing, the works. It was a great week for them, they had a blast and learnt heaps. Me, I got to have a look at Christchurch, and visit with my Aunty.
Christchurch is lovely, lots of old buildings, lovely gardens, snow capped mountains in the distance, and very, very flat. I loved the history of the place.
Back at home Paul has been working furiously on the boat while we have been away. He has started on the self-steering system installation. Finished fixing the boomkin stays, fibreglassed some sections of the hull. Plus lots of other little jobs that all add up to lots of work.
I am still struggling with stripping the antifoul of the bottom, I am so glad we don't have a bigger boat.
