HOLY COW DO YOU THINK WE'RE GONNA MAKE IT?

11 October 2009 | RB
We progress as if we are going to make it:

Engine and plumbing specialist:
heat exchanger DONE
water pump DONE
Purchase and stow stores - DONE
Freshwater Leak - locate and repair - DONE

run & connect sump hose to the sump pump in the forward head

oil cooler - NEW ISSUE BEING ADDRESSED; boat not operational yet

Hardtop Dodger - Frame and top installed; awaiting lexan

Meal planning - IN PROCESS
Prepare Emergency Information IN SPANISH

Those three things in the middle are the killers. If the oil cooler or dodger don't get done, we'll be late or have to abandon the plan. I'm about to panic. Every time I feel panic coming, I think "we are not terminally ill and this isn't the end of the world. If we don't make the Haha, we'll go to Catalina and then go visit my sister. We can go next year. We'll just refund everyone their plane tickets to/from Cabo!"

I will be TERRIBLY disappointed, and it will be heartily embarrassing, as numerous people have altered their own work or travel or vacation plans to participate.

It's crunch time.....hope these people come through....

Extra: Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover. – Mark Twain
