Cheers all We came thru thru Passe Kiki this morning at 7:30. The tide and current were flooding, flowing into the lagoon. It looks all pretty normal until you look at the shore whipping by at Nine knots. We are going 5 and the current is 4 Knots so in we go at 9 knots. The waves are pretty small on a flood because there are no big ocean waves going in the opposite direction. This Island , its pass , town and anchorage are almost exactly like Fakarava where we were 3 years ago. We have two real nice Shops, called Magasins. one is even air conditioned with tile flooring.. The Town bakery is tied in with the other store so I will bee there at 0600 for our Baguettes and croissants . I am getting Fuel tomorrow from the bakery store and the probably will leave Sunday for the next Island Amanu onlly 10 miles away. Hao has been a pleasant surprise, nice town good stores and a very good sandy bottom achorage. We are about a one minute dingy ride from the boat to a small harbor where we leave the dink. So far No WiFi but the Good store has Ice for the igloo. Mark Logan and I biked the town end to end while waiting for the stores to open , mostly paved roads and level even. . The reef outside this Motu looks good for lobsters, flat and shallow with no pukas to fall into, might try tomorrow night after dinner. Aloha, D Nottage
