we finally figured out that the 62' pole on our boat is used to open bridges as we have been wondering about this for several weeks while we motor along. today was warmer and sunny and i'm beginning to dream of burying my winter clothes in the bilge.
motored past marineland and my parents old place in daytona, so a fun day. also discovered all the missing osprey from the chesapeake bay. they certainly got here more quickly than we did but were happy to see us.
took a break while writing this to watch the most incredible boat parade which went right by us. like watching the fireworks on middle river. the gingerbread house and pirate ship were our favorites.
tomorrow we will pass cape canaveral so it looks like we'll be in the keys soon. can't wait to swim and walk barefoot.
