Autumn Update
It is Indian Summer, and we are in the process of closing up our home in the beautiful mountainous and plan for our annual migratory trek to be on S/V Karma. It's been an adventurous Summer vagabonding around, tending to the Orchard, visiting family and friends out East and enjoying the east coast. You can catch a ray of our journey as we prepare to travel down the Cali Seaboard to be back in Guatemala! let the journey begin! ~~

Strange tropical fruit make me happy!
There is no end to exotic fruit in tropical Guatemala. From one day to the next the selection changes. The nice thing about Guatemala is that Each time I go to town I'm surprised by something new! The other nice thing is that it's so cheap! Although they have fruit you'll recognize such as mango, pineapple, [...]
Revenge of the Tacos!
The "All you can eat" tacos came at a price. Thursday and Friday were spend in less than ideal gastro-intestinal conditions.
When you go to a new environment, there is usually some interesting bio-stuff that your system will be unfamiliar with. I kind of expected that part of the normal acclimatization process would be an introduction to the local micro-fauna.
But it still sucks to spend two days doing so. That long walk down the pier to the washrooms...(actually only about 40 metres, but it sure seemed long)
Fortunately, Saturday morning has been relatively nice to me. It sure feels good to be on the other end of that kind of drama.
Rest and relax kind of day. Going to get groceries, and get back on my feet.
