Autumn Update

It is Indian Summer, and we are in the process of closing up our home in the beautiful mountainous and plan for our annual migratory trek to be on S/V Karma. It's been an adventurous Summer vagabonding around, tending to the Orchard, visiting family and friends out East and enjoying the east coast. You can catch a ray of our journey as we prepare to travel down the Cali Seaboard to be back in Guatemala! let the journey begin! ~~

Strange tropical fruit make me happy!

There is no end to exotic fruit in tropical Guatemala. From one day to the next the selection changes.  The nice thing about Guatemala is that Each time I go to town I'm surprised by something new! The other nice thing is that it's so cheap! Although they have fruit you'll recognize such as mango, pineapple, [...]

being apart and keeping grounded

Dody/Windy, expecting buckets of rain!! +4
Even though James is approximately 2604 miles away in Guatemala , we are in (almost) constant contact via Skype and FB Messenger. I look forward to sharing my day with him and all the wonderful things that I have been doing since being apart.

Being apart one grows. Travelling is learning. I know that when I travel to a foreign land a part of me wants to grow, to expand my horizon, enjoy a new culture. I can only imagine what he is experiencing, and I am happy for him, especially when he shares his adventures with me. I find myself beaming and often tell him " please share that story with everyone", because I know how happy it made me feel!

I've been surrounding myself with positive people and influences; you know those who ooze happiness and are genuinely excited to see you and be with you. I am fortunate to have friends who are there to love and support me and know that perhaps at times I will feel lonely.

It is the little things that keep me grounded, such as James reassuring me with his words of,"Patience, my love." I have learned to be patient with myself, a relaxed, patient, and presence is one of the greatest things we can give or receive.

Yes, in about two weeks we will be together, to me this is something I am truly looking forward to. Til then, his love as well as all of your love and support means the world to me.

I can not tell you enough how I appreciate everyone's words of wisdom and kindness. To me this is the best Christmas Gift!! Just knowing that I have wonderful friends, who truly know and appreciate the true meaning of friendship be it in distance near or far, you are the shine!! To those who take the time to share a laugh, a drink and a hug with me and time together, you all are gifts to me. So very precious and very much cherished. Thank you.
