dinner with Max, Liz, Jonhathan and Victoria

07 August 2012
We had the Shaw family (Fluenta) at our place for dinner tonight. I met Max and Liz through work. Max was the OPI for the STV Tuna program and recruited us to gain sailing experience and we helped out with the maintenance over one winter. This past year, the Shaw family has been downsizing and preparing for their own sailing adventure. They bought a Steven 47 in Washington State and moved onto their boat in June 2012. They are also going through their own maintenance to do list So we spent the night sharing preparation stories, maintenance stories, as well as our planned itineraries.

It was an excellent night and we made a date to meet again next summer when they visit NS.

These two trips made us realize that joining the convoys of RV's, campers and cars just wasn't [...]
Karma IV's Photos - Main
Starting in the northern city of Hanoi, we ventured forth to explore this country and in the process we came to the realization that three weeks would not be enough, for Vietnam is as diverse and interesting as any place we have visited!

One of the biggest concerns about our cruising plan was how it would impact our beloved family pet dog and, conversely, how she would impact our visits to restricted islands.
