Another Christmas has come and gone and we hope that it was the best ever for all our friends and family. Being away from family at Christmas is always hard and so many of the cruisers sharing this nomadic lifestyle are in the ‘same boat’ (pardon the pun). When that happens we all do the next best thing and we get together to celebrate Christmas…island style.

Each year Nelsons Dockyards becomes the location of a big Christmas party bash. People from all corners of the globe are here for one reason or other and the mix just helps to add to the festive atmosphere. Literally boat loads of champagne, full turkey dinners, and lots of great Caribbean music carries on from noon Christmas day to late that night.

We've decided to stay in Antigua for a while longer and see more of the island. We’ll leave tomorrow for the north east end of the island. if the weather cooperates we’ll also take in Barbuda early after the new year.

So with Christmas past us we now wish everyone a very Happy New Year.
