Hello everybody.

We are really enjoying the interest many of you have shown in our travels, so I wanted to give you a very brief update.

That E wind did come in early and we had a good ride on it overnight. Earlier today it was somewhat squally but kinda fun moving from lane to lane to stay out of the squalls as much as possible.

We are now about 40 nm from Hive Oa and we have hoved to for the night. For the non-sailors it is a configuration of sails and rudder position to keep you more or less in one place and it really smoothes out the swells.

So we were here for sunset and will leave fairly early in the morning to do the remaining 40 nm to arrive in the middle of the day.

People talk fondly of the arrival, the smells and the sights and so we wanted to do it in the daytime to really appreciate it. Just hanging out waiting for dawn to break.
