Gray and Rainy : (
We're back in Port Townsend after our flights from Auckland to Sydney AU, Sydney to LA, then LA to Seattle. It's a long haul, but we'll look forward to doing it again even if 'Lark' moves on to a new owner.
Thanks to everyone who endured the project with us by following the blog. It felt good to know there were friends and family out there, helping us survive the heat under the tenting, mopping up water deluge after deluge, scraping, sanding and seeing us through.
The image above shows the finished product, just before we jumped in the dinghy and headed ashore on Sunday morning.
We were on a mission and got 'er done! : )
And The Winner Is ...

Thanks to everyone who came up with an answer to my absurd question of how many screws were removed from the decks on 'Lark'.
We had 8 responses. 3,501, 2,853, 3,040, 5,007, 1,231, 937, 1,400, and
"way more than I'd like to countersink, fill and sand"!
My count was 1,288 (not counting the loose screws Brad and I now have). : )
This makes the winner of our yet to be determined prize, our friend David from Whidbey Island WA. His response when I notified him of his genius was, "Wonder why they used 57 more screws than was necessary"?
Being Afloat
24 March 2018
After a night in a work berth at the boatyard, we moved back to our mooring today. Nice to feel water under the hull again, and not be climbing that ladder in and out of the boat multiple times a day. We're still putting things back together, peeling off masking, and cleaning up the residual dust and spots of paint we've discovered in places it doesn't belong.
We depart mid day tomorrow. This has been one crazy work party!

We're back in the water.
Still lots to wrap up, and it looks like nothing but rain until Sunday when we depart.
