After saying farewell to our friends and family, we set sail mid-morning from Horn Point Marina, Annapolis MD.
Bon Voyage Annapolis - we love you and we will miss you! We are taking our time as we head north stopping at different places along the way. We decided to stop at Rock Hall, MD as our first stop to check it out on more time! Amanda drove the boat the entire time by herself and had no issues navigating into the tight channel in Swan Creek - Mike was there of course monitoring and trying to get the AIS to work correctly (the direction is off and he's still working this). Unfortunately, there wasn't much wind, so we just motored.
We got a mooring ball at Swan Creek Marina - we stayed there before and really enjoyed the complimentary bikes with baskets! Once we were all secure, we went into town to grab lunch since we both were starving! Mike biked with the 2 dogs - put Griff in his basket, and Oreo in the backpack (since he's 15 and old). We grabbed lunch at Waterman's Crabhouse and went back to the boat to take a nap.
We then went to Passages Bar and Grill located at Haven Harbour Marina. We love that place. It's a small, local bar and restaurant and the people are always very friendly! It ended up being karaoke night (uh-oh). Amanda of course sang a song and definitely entertained the crowd.
Check out Amanda singing
We had a fairly early night since we were getting up early to travel to our next stop! We want to go to Chesapeake City on the canal, but playing it by ear.
