Yesterday was AMAZING and thrilling. We went through New York City on the East River and saw Statue of Liberty, Brooklyn and Manhattan! Here are a few pics.

We had to wait until the current was running in our favor. We were doing a steady 11 knots. We were headed into the Long Island Sound to anchor in Northport, NY!
We were pleasantly surprised when we saw tons and tons of boats in the Anchorage. I looked it up and this Anchorage has 1100 boats and over 800 moorings! Very boat and dog friendly place.
We explored town and had dinner at Feed and Grain restaurant. Amanda had their house burger and it was delicious. Mike had clams strips....his old time favorite! We went back to the dinghy and the skies were gorgeous. It was a nice ride exploring all of the moored boats.
We decided to take a day and enjoy it. Since we like this place, we decided to stay here on more night. Amanda wanted to go into the town and go shopping of course! We woke up and relaxed in the boat and then went to town to walk around, explore and shop.
Yesterday we passed this place called Brew Cheese and yes, they have beer and cheese! Over 12 grilled cheese options. So Amanda really wanted to go to the lunch there and so we did. Amanda had a red pepper Gouda and pepperoni grilled cheese on sourdough. Mike had a very spicy one. Here we are...
Of course Amanda spotted a pet store. We went in there and Griff got fitted for a harness which isn't easy. Brussels Griffon s bodies are not your normal body shape. The lady, who was in love with Griff, found one that worked. I ended up getting it....good for the boat and being tethered in.
We did some more exploring and Mike wanted to check out this brewery. We went in and they had AC and they were dog friendly. We decided to go on the boat to relax and come back to the brewery around 5pm.
It's 5pm and we are headed to the brewery!
