Grand Cay
11 February 2009 | Abacos Bahamas

The weather is finally nice and warm. We stayed around Grand Cay for 5 days, fishing, snorkling, beach walking, and exploring. We snorkled on reefs on the north side of Walkers Cay. Anchored overnight at Double Breasted Cay and on the West side of Grand cay otherwise we were at the harbor well protected from the winds and current. We meet Ray and Marrian of the boat Honalhlee and Larry and Ray went dingy spear fishing in the current ( hard work for them) and got plenty of Grunts for a nice lunch. Later that night we went onshore to use the internet at Berry's Shark School and Berry gave us 5 lobsters for dinner. What a treat. The next day in the harbor we saw a hugh Hamerhead shark, we followed it in our dingy and it went right under us. Sorry I didn't have my camra. This shark was bigger than our dingy. Scary! One day Larry caught an 8lb grouper and then hooked a shark numerous times but didn't even slow it down. I did get pictures here, will try to post them.
