Strangers Cay
13 February 2009 | Abacos Bahamas
We left Grand Cay about 11:30 and motored with the winds and current against us towards Strangers Cay It took us along time not because of the weather and seas but because Larry caught so many fish. He caught 3, 7-8 lb Mutton Snapper, which he released, then a 10 lb Grouper which we kept, then a 20 lb Dolphin which I really wanted to eat but it was too much for only the two of us. What a beautiful fish. We got to Strangers Cay about 3:00pm. Had blackened grouper for dinner and since the oven was hot I made cookies. The next day we walked around Strangers Cay - found lotsa plastic trash and bitting no-see-ums. We left about 10:00am to check out Joes Cay not an hour later Larry caught a Yellow Tail Snapper which is my favorite. We saved him for lunch. But before he was out of the bucket Larry caught a Baracuda than a Dorado, which we released. One thing for sure we are not going hungry.
