Bottom Line!

That would be onions, of course! Cruising is not just about the places you go, or the people you meet, both of which are wonderful, but it is also about enjoying the comforts of your own home while challenging yourself to wind and tides and currents.
So, today, along with studying "Ports and Passages" to get the time of slack at Yuculta, Dent and Gillard Passage so we can slip through without getting twisted around in a tide pool or worse I stripped our onions and laid them out in the sun to dry, a trick we learned in 1975 aboard Kenyalang.
So, our rule is: OUT OF ONIONS: head for a port. Looks to me like we have 14 more days of quiet anchorages ahead of us!
