Trip North to Darwin

We left Cooktown with overcast skies, our destination Lizard Island. We arrived at approximately 2.00. We were quite surprised to see so few boats, including us, only seven. Lizzie, a boat we had met in Cairns was there, so we popped over to see Rod and Paul. The Mariners Bar was open Sunday afternoon, so all four of us went over for a drink or two and then back to Keris for dinner. Next morning Mike and I walked to the top of Cook's Lookout (approx 3 hour turnaround).
Next morning we set off for Flinders Island. We actually caught a couple of fish, a barrcoutta and a Spanish mackerel, the mackerel is in the freezer. Arrived Approx 7.30pm. Lizzie was also there. We had been told great spot for oysters, lobsters and for fishing. Well we got the oysters... I'll leave it there. Paul and Rod saw lobsters and did manage to get one, which is now in our freezer, thanks guys. Dinner on Keris again. (the boys wives are not with them). We stayed another night, while Lizzie was off to Seisa. We were hoping to get more oysters and find some lobsters, but the dinghy started to play up, so decided the best bet was to go back to Keris.
Next day onto Morris Island.
