Trip North to Darwin
19 June 2012 | Gove, Northern Territory

From Portland Roads, we went to Shelburne Bay for the night. We stopped at India Bay for an hour so we could search for Nautilus Shells. We found quite a few, but they were all damaged as they are swept over the reef. Next morning (12th) it was onto Escape River. We anchored outside the Pearl Farm, we were invited over for afternoon tea and met the owners, Rusty and Bron. We learnt a little about Pearl Farming.
Next day, it was through the Albany Passage and into Seisa. Mike got to watch the 2nd State of Origin at the Fisho's Club. We met Calvin and Ruth who are also doing the Rally. Next day it was washing and a quick trip into Bamaga for a few supplies. We weren't sure if we were staying another night or whether we would start the Gulf Crossing. Next port of call GOVE.
