Trip North to Darwin
19 June 2012 | Gove, Northern Territory
Juanita

We decided to leave Seisa on the evening of 14th, rather than wait until the morning. As crossings of the Gulf go, it was not to bad. Winds were not all that favorable, blowing from the east for majority of the crossing. In total, it was 65 hours into Gove. On the second day we noticed we had company, Calvin and Ruth who we had met in Seisa. Nice to know there was someone else out there.
Also, we had worked out that we were going to arrive in Gove in the wee hours of the morning of the 17th, winds averaging about 20 knots, so we only had the jib out to slow us down. It was quite a hairy night... the easterlies wanting to push us away from the coast. Anyway we made it safely into Gove... around 10.00am. Relaxing day followed, we were both in need of much lost sleep.
Thanks for the comments, especially to Nanette and Stuart. Keep them coming.
Nanette we can not work out this Lat and Long, can you help us please.
