Well we did attempt to leave at 0630 hours, but the anchor held firm. After approx. 30 - 40 minutes, the anchor came up, and wrapped around it was a fishing net. After many cuts into it we were able to free the anchor and be on our way. (We gave the net to a fisherman at our overnight anchorage, he seemed very appreciative). Travelling with a boat called Island Sonata.
Left at midnight to try and make Alor by 1700 hours on the 7th August.
Winds picked up and the Genoa would not wind in. After many attempts and Mike almost overboard, we dropped the sail.
We arrived in Alor at the time we wanted too. Tides and currents are so different in this part of the world.
