Bass Strait
16 March 2011 | Cape Barron Island
Phil
After a brisk sail yesterday from St Helens we found shelter from the SE wind on the North side of Cape Barren Island. The anchorage allowed a bit of swell in which kept us rolling a bit all night but we had a good nights sleep. We awoke to a perfect morning and a forecast of SW winds to 20 knots so left about 0730. Currently motor sailing at 6.6 knots in light conditions. Should be in Eden about midday tomorrow if can maintain this speed.
