Wellllll as the saying goes " cruising is about boat maintenance in exotic places " so... today is more about boat maintenance....
We've had boat mechanics, boat electricians, diesel mechanics 🧰- sail guy- on the boat to go over all that sort of thing!!!
Welllllllll- although the engine is new and the generator is new ( hardly any time on them) we found out that we have to get a new Alternator which is one of two on the boat.

Sooooo, that means we have to go to the nearest Marina in Riposto, it's not far . Our goal is to never stay in a Marina! That's one of the great things about this boat, the wonderful ability to anchor in deep water.
A few of the service people will not work on the boat at the mooring. Also. Riposto is larger and had better access to parts etc.
Hopefully it's only one night.... especially at 325£ a night yikes!!! 😮
But it is what it is...

Good news!! All the sails are up and running! We put on the main and the code zero today. Thankfully we have an electric winch for these massive sails !

Tonight we will go into Taormina to get a few things ( beer 🍺) and tomorrow we head off at 05:30 🕠.

The weather is very hot, but you know the sea is our front and back yard... so we just jump in.

We are not sure why, some nights they have major fireworks lol..

Boats of all sorts come and go here in the mooring field- huge yachts that anchor just outside of the field are ridiculous!! The local guy we work with here mentioned one that is chartered to the tune of 160K £ a day.... that's a day?? Good grief!

I mean ?

We are not quite cruising yet but darn close to it! It's an amazingly beautiful place to have to wait to get things done!

Hi to all the Tai Chi people ⭐️🏃🏻‍♂️

Ciao for now!!
