Manjack Cay

07 March 2011
Evan
Left Green Turtle Cay. Made three mile jump to Manjack Cay to the North. The island is described as partially inhabited but great for nature trails and diving.
Took out dinghy, but left padlock keys back at boat. Took chance and jerry-rigged lock. Now sport second set of keys on lanyard around neck. Well worth the trip to the Atlantic beach, which was desolate and lined with makeshift fish camps. The Boy Scouts did a nice attempt at cleaning that side of debris.
Found different types of starfish and sandollars on the bay side. Would make excellent area for snorkeling if temperature were more agreeable. Will look forward to returning.
