Manjack Cay

07 March 2011
Evan
Sunday, woke up and put away a big pancake breakfast .Did some reconnaissance on the South end of Manjack Cay. Tidal rocks covered with what appears as periwinkle and turban shells. Want to collect, and boil or roast them. Would take a large number but curious how they would taste. Found a small buoy which can act as a secondary dive flag. Spotted large Loggerhead turtle in shallows upon return.
Left Manjack and on to Marsh Harbour. Had to inform Jim of stowaway. Seems I brought a cricket on board with shells, and it made a break in cockpit for freedom. Hopefully, it won't chirp to much and disturb the Captain. Lost in area near his stateroom hatch.
Some nice waves at Whale Cut; would like to see it rage.

About: The captain is a ex-northeasterner living the goodlife aboard Koala in south Florida.
Extra: Koala is a Catalina 470 built in 2000. The draft is 6' and beam is 14'-0". Koala is also the captain's full time home for the past 11 years and so she may be sitting a bit low in the water. Ok, so maybe the draft is an inch or two more!
