Awoke and admired the order and beauty of the North Mooring Field. We are situated on Buoy No. 1 and look down a crescent -shaped grouping of boats in this breathtaking setting. Take breakfast, make dive preparations, and head to park office to stay another day.
Darcy, interim administrator was multitasking with everyone's needs like an accomplished professional. The office is a small natural history museum dedicated to the Bahamas and the park. Currently, she is working on preparing a pilot whale skeleton to complement their sperm whale which is assembled on the beach.
Began dive by swimming beside a large spotted eagle ray. He had a rather large, possible, remora underneath. A good day seemed inevitable.
Candice came prepared with a cute nautical bathing suit, but it was lost on her since she spent the day in a mens large wetsuit. Warmth won over.
Jim seemed comfortable in his and did a fair amount of snorkeling.
We dinghied to the South and explored an area which was previously a Pirate's Lair. It had a small, sheltered anchorage and a well created by water runoff. This was described as a freshwater lens. Returned and viewed the wreck at Mooring Buoy No. 9, lobster in abundance. No touch, no take! I felt paralyzed.
