Koeketiene on Tour

Going places - one day at a time

Out with the old...

What is a man supposed to do these 'wasted days' between Christmas and New Year's Eve?

Fettle about on the boat and go sailing - that's what.
On Monday I added a NMEA2000 compatible electronic barometer to the boats network. And it works. The MFD 'sees' it on the network and displays the value.
Even Figured out to display the barometric values recorded by the new NMEA2K sensor on the plotter. The manual could not have been vaguer if it tried.

Yesterday (Tuesday) I took the old girl out for what's really going to be the last sail of the year. Storms are coming this way.
Conditions were 'sporting' and 'humid' at times.
Two reefs in the main (finally taken the 'reef deep and reef early' lesson to heart) and a few turns on the jib.

Had fun - real fun.

But I've got a nasty suspicion I'll be paying a price tomorrow as some joints are starting to ache.
Everything has a price these days, but in this particular instance I don't mind paying.

Onwards and upwards.
